I am a PhD candidate in the Department of Ecology and Evolution at Stony Brook University. I am broadly interested in evolutionary ecology, phenotypic plasticity, and invertebrate zoology. As a member of Dr. Robert Thacker’s laboratory, I work to understand the population dynamics of marine invertebrates and their responses to rapid environmental change. I currently work on arthropods and molluscs and I split my time between Long Island, NY and Friday Harbor Laboratories on San Juan Island, WA.
I am passionate about the advancement of women in STEM fields, and as the Secretary and Vice President of Graduate Women in Science and Engineering (GWISE) at Stony Brook, I worked with an amazing team to host events promoting professional development, networking, and social change. Outside of my research, I enjoy trail running, birdwatching, and exploring shorelines.
